What makes a great barbecue sauce? In this recipe, the combination of hoisin sauce and peanut butter provides a satisfying contrast of sweet, salty and aromatic flavours making a delectable barbeque sauce for your family to enjoy all summer long.
Ingredients:

Directions:
Heat oil in a large saucepan (as mixture spatters) over medium heat. Add onion and sauté until soft, about 3 minutes. Add garlic and cook 1 minute. Add ketchup, water, peanut butter, lemon juice, hoisin, honey and seasonings.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer uncovered.Stir occasionally at first and then more frequently near the end of cooking to blend flavours and thicken slightly, about 5 minutes. Ideal for ribs, burgers or chicken.
