This is a great one for the kids to get stuck into. They will love fingering the dough and decorating the top with peanuts. These cookies have that typical homemade appearance, since they are uneven shapes and have a crumbly texture. Substitute the raisins with chopped dried apricots or white chocolate chips for variety.

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350° F (180° C).
In large bowl, cream butter, peanut butter and sugar. Beat in egg.
In another bowl, stir together flour and baking powder. Stir into peanut butter mixture. Stir in raisins.
Form dough into 1-1/4 inch (3 cm) balls. Place on ungreased baking sheets, spacing well apart. Press each ball with the back of a fork to make a pattern. If desired, decorate the top with chopped peanuts or dried fruit.
Bake, one baking sheet at a time, in the centre of the oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden around edges. Cool on baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire rack.
